About Sum Bum Nim (Master) A. Ross

It has been a lifelong dream to open a martial arts school, and we are so grateful for your interest and support. Founder Anthony Ross is a tenured physical education teacher at The Albert Einstein Middle School in the Bronx, New York City Department of Education, for over 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Master of Science degree in Physical Education K-12 and is AED/CPR and CYS (concussion in youth sports) certified. He lives with his wife and two sons in Bethel, Connecticut. He has been been practicing martial arts for more than 30 years. 

Sah Bum Nim (Master) Ross is a  5th Dan Black Belt in Ji Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do. He began his training in Tae Kwon Do in 1986 at the age of 12 under Master Almeda at the Bronx Tae Kwon Do/Karate Institute. He  was a major competitor  in both Hyungs (Forms) and Sparring in tournaments across the east coast.  

For more than 25 years, Master Ross has instructed Tae Kwon Do to men, women and children of all ages and abilities. He has brought his teachings to summer camps and after school programs at various locations throughout New York and Connecticut. It is a great honor to work with our friends and neighbors at home in Bethel.  Martial Arts training is a great way to build an extended family and bring people together from all walks of life.
